St. Margaret's Episcopal Church - MinistryAt St. Margaret's, all baptized members are ministers and we encourage each and every one to identify and use his/her gifts for ministry.
Acolytes
assist at all services and may be adults or children.
Altar Guild members
oversee preparation for each of our worship services at St.
Margaret's.
Greeters are a friendly group who
make it their responsiblity to greet all of the people and
visitors at our Sunday services.
Lectors read scriptural passages at
the Sunday service and may lead the Prayers of the People.
Oblationers bring the bread and
wine up to the altar and represent the people there gathered who
share in the celebration of the Eucharist. Chalicists
are parishoners who assist the Clegy during Holy Eucharist.
Social Outreach includes Oxford House,
a self-help recovery housing program, support for the Towson Food
Bank, AA and NA meetings.
The Vestry is
responsible for the decisions that affect the parish as a whole,
such as our mission as a Christian community, as well as money
management and staff. Vestry members are chosen for a three year
term:
